At Heritage Dental, we believe in providing our patients with advanced dental care. In order to provide this kind of high quality care, we use leading-edge technologies and techniques that focus on early detection and conservative treatment options.
We use digital X-rays and digital panoramic X-rays to take images of your teeth and jawbone. These images allow us to detect potential problems earlier and more easily than with a regular exam. Digital X-rays don’t require sharp or uncomfortable X-ray film, and their images are available on our computer screens within seconds, so we can get started on your treatment fast. They also emit up to 90 percent less radiation than traditional X-rays, making them safe for all of our patients, including children and pregnant women.
Our intraoral camera lets us show you what we see inside your mouth. We’re able to take pictures of your teeth, gums, and other areas inside your mouth to walk you through any diagnosis and treatment plans. It is also a vital part of patient education because we’re able to show you exactly which areas need the most attention from us and from you.
Pain-Free Injections with DentalVibe®
For many, the worst part of a dental appointment is the pain of numbing injections. But at Heritage Dental, we use the DentalVibe system for pain-free injections. The DentalVibe uses ultrasonic vibrations to essentially block the pain sensations from making it to the brain, leading to a painless injection. For patients who hate needles, the DentalVibe is great because it administers the anesthetic but doesn’t even look like a needle!
OralID™ Cancer Screening
According to the Oral Cancer Foundation, oral cancer kills one American every hour, and its incidence has increased over the past five years. The best way to fight back against these cancers and to give treatment the best chance at success if to catch them early.
Dr. Nguyen uses OralID for all oral cancer screenings. OralID uses a proven fluorescence technology that allows detection of oral cancer, pre-cancer, and other abnormal lesions at an earlier stage, which is crucial. The screening only takes five minutes and could save your life!
